I think USC should also forfeit their share of the SEC bowl money because they will be hurting the pool of money doled out to other SEC schools. USC is killing the Independence Bowl and for someone like myself who supports and works the I-Bowl and being a big LSU fan this whole scenario is disasterous. I hope the Tigers maul the Hogs, but the folks at I-Bowl have to pull for Arkansas in order to fill the SEC slots. If Arky doesn't beat LSU (which it won't) then the I-Bowl, who is still without a sponsor, will be forced to look to teams like UConn, Toledo, Marshall to fill the slot and face off against the Big 12 rep. So, USC is not only screwing the rest of the SEC because of its stupidity, but it's screwing the second best bowl game in our state.
I saw on espn early the athletic director for USC said that it would cost there school over a million dollars because they didnt go to the bowl does that mean that the money that the SEC schools were suppose to get will come out of USC own pocket
As a matter of fact I am not a Democrat. Like TwistedTiger said the democratic side would be saying that others should pay for someone else's shortcomings. Responsibility for your own actions or inactions is a Republican principle. I am not serious that USC should have to pay their share, however, I do like the suggestions that the SEC should withhold some of their portion of the bowl money.
... Wouldn't all USC players envolved in the fight be suspended for the bowl game. If so they wouldn't have a team to put on the field.
