I was just pointing out what I thought SF may have been referring to. But now that you mentioned it, I think one poll is not really an accurate representation IMHO. I generally look at RCP's average since they are comprised of several major polls, both left and right. Makes me feel like I'm getting a bit more of the big picture like that. Well, that and they're all on the same page so my lazy ass doesn't have to go hunting them down.. :thumb: And yes.. Same ol' sh!t. Politicians, are politicians, are politicians. The trick is to keep a high turn-around rate so they can't get settled in long enough to do damage. But, nobody seems to like term limits..
The State of the Union serves no purpose. It's just a pep rally where they pretend to care about whatever they are talking about. Not just Obama, it's like that for every prez.
I feel its significant that, if you just glance at the screen real quick, the abbreviation SOTU can be mistaken for STFU.
I do think it's funny that Harry Reid is blasting the White House because he said he would veto any bill with earmarks.

I was referring to the matter of the republicans taking a small majority in one house of congress and casting it as a mandate from The People. This country is just as evenly split as before and the majorities are very small every time parties switch places.
It's luck of the draw in the Senate. We'll get those bastards out next time around. Quit acting like everybody is happy with record deficits, debt and spending. It's out of control and Obama is only making it worse.
What leads you to believe the GOP wont do the same thing? All they do is spend in different areas. And did anyone see the GOP response by the Wisconsin dude? At one point he said... Damn he sounds like a Democrat.
