Sure I work , and pay plenty of taxes! I was a repub back when they weren't pandering to the christian fundamentalists, and back when they were fiscal conservatives. Clinton did a great job with the nations finances, Bush has done a pitiful job. Even Greenspan says Clinton was the best republican president in a long time, and that the republicans today abandoned him and the old values of the republican party.
This is the biggest sham of all time. You're absolutely right. All it amounts to is paperwork for teachers and does nothing to address actually getting every child up to a national standard (which is, in reality, a state standard, not a national one.) In fact, it takes teachers away from their classrooms and students during the school day. Also, who wants ALL of our students to be at a MINIMUM standard? NCLB does nothing to address the needs of average to above average students (and there are plenty of those out there.)
I couldnt agree more with Red and yourself on this one, what a joke of a program that hasnt really helped our education system!
