how about this... tony dies of cancer... seems to be a running theme.. let him get out without ratting or getting shot... then christopher takes AJ under his wing just as Tony took christopher, and christopher's father looked after Tony... continue the cycle..

Yes, it was quite interesting. The whole time I am thinking he may be dreaming, then he wakes up. Then, we find out he was only dreaming about what he told Dr. Melfi.

My favorite part of the epidode is when Chrissie's mom drops to her knees in front of the casket and Tony says, "Look, James Brown this one." I thought that was funny.

I have a feeling that this will all end with a lot of saying, "WTF."

    SPOILLER ALERT

I was wondering what made him decide to go to Vegas beside the fact that he couldnt take everyone around him depressed about the situation. I noticed that he was a little suspictious of Carmela reacting to his death. Then I noticed Carmela said that alot of women thought he was attractive. I think he went to see that girl in Vegas because he wanted to prove that he could have anything that Chrissy had, especially after seeing the drug addict girl at the funeral.

Looks like Tony did pass the depression and F the world attitude he was talking about. At first I didnt want AJ in the show that much but now it is getting interesting.

Good to see Tony back to his old ways and nipping it in the bud when he had the chance but I think not nipping the Paulie situation in the bud will come back to bite him.

I cant figure out what he discovered at the end but I am sure I will have some ideas when I watch it again. Maybe the bad string of luck is turned around and he leaves the gambling while he is ahead. But whatever he figured out will be squashed when he finds his son back to the same place he was in his life.

I was thinking Tony thought, with Christopher dead, his string of bad luck was over as evidenced by the Roulette table sequence. It certainly was a strange ending. The asbestos plot would seem the perfect way for the Feds to take down someone in Tony's crew.

my favorite recent tony malapropisms (i guess they put one in per week):

    "...and all that it entrails"

    "i was prostate with grief"

    "lying in the fetus position"

At last a good episode after several poor ones. A surprise twist and a good look at the twisted mind of Tony. After the "Tony loses everything" episode, now we have a Tony wins everything episode. He wins at gambling, he scores the hot chick, and he eliminates a threat without making it look like a hit. Tony is empowered again and ready for a confrontation with Phil. He's happy that he did it. Ecstatic.

I don't know if Tony's ready to go to war w/ New York. The Soprano family is fragile right now (not to mention thin in numbers). The core of the family is Tony, Bobby, Sil and Paulie. Chrissy's gone, and the family seems somewhat vulnerable to me. Maybe that's what the writers want me to think.

I think something is definitely going to go down with the asbestos deal. Only 3 episodes left and no one will be able to predict how this goes down. I'm looking forward to the next 3 episodes, for sure.

ew.com usually has some good write ups on episode for Sopranos, LOST, Heroes, etc.

they touched on the with Christopher dead Tony's losing streak is over (remember Tony calling Christopher his biggest mistake?). said Paulie can't get away from Christopher even when he is dead (Paulie will bring Tony down...call it a hunch). even mentioned the sound of ducks in the background during the asbestos dumping scene (got to go way back to season 1 for Tony and his duck fascination).

all in all this weekend's episode did not disappoint......great one.

also, this is two weeks in a row where Pink Floyd's COmfortably Numb opened the show in some fashion....significant?
