Alright JR vs. MF: First of all Flynn is a traditional QB and Jamarcus just has more God given talents like a strong arm and the ability to turn it on when the game is on the line. Personally I want JR to start the game and finish it when the game is on the line. I still feel that Matt is an awesome backup. The point of this is that they are entirely different and the game plan has to be tailored to their different styles of play. I believe that most of us would want to have a game plan that is more dynamic for the SEC. When Flynn comes into a game unexpected, opposing defenses are not ready for his style of play or dont give him credit for his sound play. That leads to a better performance for anybody when you can catch a team by surprise. If a team knew he was going to start and had alot of film on him they would have a different defensive scheme for his conservative style of play. But Jamarcus has proven that no matter how well you know his style, he can still hurt you in a number of ways. Youy need to have a multiple threat QB these days in the SEC because the defense is so good in our conference.

    :thumb: good post
I am not questioning MF's ability because he is a very good qb. I am just questioning how well he will do in clutch situations because he hasn't had the oppurtunity yet. JR has great raw ability, has proven he plays well under the clutch, and has more game experience. That is why I want JR as the starter, but I am not bashing MF. I will be more then confident if JR gets hurt during a game and Flynn has to take over. Very few teams can say that about there 2nd string qb.

    Because I question Hester? I

I just thought we had better options at RB, like using a real RB. I never said one thing bad about the guy. I like Hester, but if lack of loyalty comes from questioning a team's players, then no one is loyal - including you, for you "dog" JR.

Actually, he has. Capital One Bowl, and the SECCG. We know how those turned out... Yet Flynn supports constantly overlook these, or they say that Flynn is so wonderful, so absolutely amazing, that our team would never be in a "clutch situation" because we would have 30 point leads by halftime in every game.

Ya well It is very tough to be thrown into a championship game when the offense is struggling, the overall team seemed to be down, they were down by a couple of scores, and UGA had all the confidence in the world. He did seem to get happy feet when he was under pressure, and he rarely seemed to be pressured in the Miami game. JR surely does not mind taking a hit for a big completion.

they were obviously embarassed and had lost a lot of dignity that game which is probably why that friggin fight started.

for the record, i was hoping flynn would come in and scramble for his life and lead us to victory like mauck in 01 against tennesse in the seccg, i think it was 01.

on most of mf's throws, he had a lot of space to deliver the ball and lots of time. i would like to see what JR could do under that kinda situation. my guess is that the coaches have seen both in similar situations and know that JR is the better QB for the team to succeed

I don't think we should call him MF unless he throws an interception.:hihi:
