Hester can play both positions and has done everything that's been asked of him here. If Vincent and Broussard can't go and Williams doesn't get eligible . . . Hester could start for LSU.
Well...im not even sure you just didn't watch the Peach Bowl highlights on sportscenter OVD. Just to catch you up on the game, Addai ran all over Miami and it was a blow out by the 4th quarter. Since blow outs do happen, teams tend to give players (that do not start or usually play) some quality playing time. Joseph Addai was done for the night, Broussaurd was hurt all season, JV was hurt, and the freshmen were redshirted. Hester came in and did a good job agaisnt a very deflated Miami defense. I am not a coach though so possibly Hester's performance will earn him the starting spot this year over all those guys besides JA.
I'm sure that the members LSU coaching staff are quaking in their boots.:dis: By the way, if you can't spell, I will assume you are an idiot.
I don't think anybody is doubting that. I think what they meant was by the end of the game Miami's defense was deflated. Thay had been beaten down by a team, as you put it, "played on all cylinders for 60 minutes"!!!
You do know what a letdown game is don't you? They happen all the time, and it is what happened to Miami - doesn't matter how good LSU played, the truth is Miami didn't play as well as they were capable of.
The circumstances were very different for the SECCG. It was a letdown game, but it was also a team that was worn out & injured, which had they had to play their entire season how they played that game - wouldn't have won near enough to deserve to be there. Every team has letdown games, no matter how good they are. That's just the way it is. Now, if our team was only playing okay, then Miami could have had a letdown game & kept it close, but since we were playing so well, we completely demoralized them, really pulling the game away.
I don't understand why you people are bashing on Hester and Flynn acting like Russell could have done the same or better. I don't think so. Had Miles started Flynn against the Bulldogs LSU would have won. It sounds like you fools are not giving any credit to Hester or Flynn. Those guys played like gangbusters and unless they don't want to start and I doubt thats true they deserve it. Yall crack me up. Ok lets start Russell and JV or AB we all know they are 100%. Ha ha ha. Put the healthy guys on the bench they aren’t better then a bunch of hurt guys. So you know, Russell recently admitted he is still only 80%. I am sure he will gain 20% in one month. You jokers are keen.
