Exactly that is why I am contacting my senators and representatives tomorrow. This is all for show, it will also censor the internet, when this stuff starts up no telling what could be next. The entertainment Industry gives the government money for re election so they can try and influence the government passing this law.
I believe Mozilla already has some software that will work around these laws.
There are plenty of ways to get stuff for free if you want too.
I use to have a Rhapsody membership, I could listen to anything for free and record it on my computer with my software. I now use Spotify.
We also have Netflix after buying dozens of movies we rarely watch.
I don't feel sorry for any of these Hollywood people or Musicians, it is no different when technology has hurt or put other people out of business.
Such as the farm workers, a lot were replaced by machines.

All of these people are only hurting themselves. My son likes to do movie reviews along with other children his age. They can no longer do at least some of them because they now give strikes on You Tube for stupid movie reviews if the kids show something on the screen someone objects too.
We have had cassette recorders with built in radios for years, we have had vcr's for years, this really isn't much different.
Again, this is about more government control over the internet, this will not work, pirates and software engineers will always be ahead of the government.
The government is stuck in the dark ages, they solve nothing, just create bigger problems!

One has to wonder how much politicians and elections cause these industries. Where are the numbers on those vs bias sites?

i hear ya dude. i never thought i would struggle or have any sort of alcohol problem, but i do, not really super serious, but a problem nonetheless. hopefully i can conquer it completely within the next few months. pretty sure i can. i feel like exercise really helps.

regarding the topic. we need to realize that any sort of government manipulation of the internet is unspeakably terrible.

And at the same time they are ruining an outlet for underground artists and artists who want to get signed, and want to get their **** out there. All because poor Lars Ulrich can't buy that 750 inch plasma screen television made from the bones of crushed african babies for his closet. Please. I don't give a rats ass about them, and the majority of people who go to pirate sites go for underground **** anyway. No one is going to risk going to jail to download Shrek 7.

We're talking about theft. You are just trying to justify being a thief.

Nah, I'm just not curious enough to put the effort into finding a report on which I spoke.
