    Unfortunately, you're in the minority.

We don't have a kid on the roster whose high school coaches didn't rave about them. Have you forgotten Perilloux, who was all-everything and a can't miss project? All we know about Harris is what we have see of him in action and it wasn't impressive.

Just not against SEC competition. Look, I hope he develops into Superman. I just think he's still 80% reputation and still has a lot to prove.

what you see as reputation, i see as flashes of brilliance in minimal reps. those glimmers of talent needed to begin being nurtured in place of jennings because its clear his ceiling is much higher. at least it was to most.

and this season was a wash.

i do understand les' dilemma regardless how much i protest, however. there is no rebuilding anymore. you win every game you can because there is no tomorrow in college football. and jennings was more settled.

les wasnt taking the time to lose any more games developing harris. jennings was the safer play.

but hes going to wish he had next year. you can book that.

He does have a lot to prove just as AJ does after a full year of starts under his belt. Harris was given one shot and put on the bench and forgotten. AJ managed 26 yds more passing than Harris in the AU game and was mostly ineffective the whole year.

THIS was the year to give them both game experience and a chance to prove themselves. THIS was the year to let them battle for the starting job next year. Only one was given a shot and he didn't get the job done. So next year we can either have a repeat performance at QB or go through the growing pains again with an inexperienced QB. This is why so many are frustrated. We shouldn't have questions about Harris at this point.

les wasnt reading stats to determine who was better between harris and jennings. people need to stop throwing those out. he was going by what his eyes told him.

harris was schizo at times despite his arm strength and raw talent. he made les nervous. les doesnt like uncertainty. hence, harris rode the pine.

just like les was nervous about lee even when he was undefeated. so he sat him when given the chance. i understand him, sorta, but im not going to forgive him either. in either case.

You know what the toughest part of being a leader? Trust. At some point a leader has to trust his subordinates to be successful. Either Les has to trust the talent and coaches or find new talent and coaches. DiNardo's downfall was not trusting his assistants and trying to do all their jobs. This is starting to feel like 1997 season, the beginning of the end of DiNardo's coaching tenure. Karl Reese left for Texas and we had DiNardo's buddy as o coordinator.

They both do. Harris will be given the benefit of the doubt this spring. Jennings had more than enough opportunities to show improvement this season. He will be a junior veteran and must play like one damn quickly in the spring or step aside.

I agree and I expected to see Harris play more. But Les is hired to win football games and Harris was riskier. Getting Harris some experience was not worth going 7-5 or 6-6 for Les.

Risk doesn't necessarily mean failure. Risk oftend results in great rewards. This is Miles problem of late - the Mad Hatter has become Timid Timmy. We might have beaten MSU if Harris played more. We might have won another SEC game or been more competitive had Harris played more. We'll never know, but I'll cherish our 5th place finish in the west forever. Good thing we didn't risk finishing in 6th place.

And FWIW I don't believe for a second Harris will be given a chance at the starting job next year. I would love to be wrong.
