I actually thought the hit Landry put on Brodie right before the half was worse than that. It was about three plays before halftime and 'Bama was driving towards the north end zone. Two plays after the hit was when the ball came out of Croyle's hand as he was trying to pass.

You're exactly right, it did appear that Landry just pushed him in the back(in that clip). I'm not sure where FT got the shoulder to rib from.

thats correct. i mentioned it in another thread and it looks pretty similar to this play though it didnt result in a sack. im not sure it was worse but it was just as effective.
