1. StatTiger has long been known for producing some of the most interesting statistical analysis on any team's board ..... here's another gem he unearthed earlier today:

  2. Keep those stats coming! Very interesting/cool stuff!

  3. Average starting field position would really be a factor in low scoring defensive battles where pinning you opponent deep and holding them is the name of the game. That is how LSU/Auburn games tend to be so I can see how this analysis would be so accurate.
  4. I wonder what being the home team does to starting position? I wouldn't think it would mean too too much.
  5. That's not really so. Four of those games weren't low scoring for one or the other team and in fact three of those matchups were blowouts.

    2000: 17-34
    2001: 27-14
    2002: 31-7
    2003: 31-7

Those are far from low scoring defensive battles.
  6. So much for my theory
  7. Damn thats impressive. So my friend, do you give me Auburn and 50 points?:hihi:
  8. We could share the SEC West. I'm sure ESPN would make it happen.
  9. If that happens we should meet again for the MNC.
  10. I don't think you'll find disagreement here. By the end of the season, if the loser has one loss, it's only fair.
