You have never heard me say it, ever. I have heard you say it, many times, which I have always thought as odd. I don't think Notre Dame is in the cards this year, though I would love to see the match up. So matching up with someone who plays power football in the NC game is a long shot. I believe Alabama will have to deal with Oregon if we get there. Dealing with the aggies is really the best game we could hope for. USC looked like they were chasing the tail of a dragon, we can't look that way against Johny football's bunch.

OK, I'm probably giving everyone, day 3, after a big game, analytical material. For the record, I hate with all my being, the prevent defense. Usually, it only prevents the team with the most points from winning.

Lets see, mistakes a plenty by LSU, poor situational calls, zebras not calling shit, and on top of that Bama needed a gift by John Chavis to win. Make no mistake, the better team won't be representing the West in the SECCG.

If you count up all the wide open receivers AJ refuse to throw to for 4 quarters, you might find that both teams were in the giving mood.

All these LSU fans saying they exposed Bama's defense. Lol! Bama has played better offenses than LSU, Florida Atlantic being one of them. It was one game, no different then the Georgia Southern game last year. There will always be a game where the defense doesn't show up.

    Mett- 24/35 298 yards 1TD 0INTs

    McCarron- 14/27 165 yards 1TD 0INTs

    LSU 435 yards offense

    Bame 331 yards offense

    LSU 10/20 3rd downs

    Bama 1/9 3rd downs

    LSU TOP 39:15

    Bama TOP 20:45

Bama was out-classed in every phase of the game... enjoy your gift wrapped victory douchebag.

Since this seems to be the thread for it...

Great game. Mett played the game of his life. I've watched all LSU's games this season and it's like he just became someone else for last night. Caught everyone by surprise and I imagine that includes the Bama D too.
LSU outplayed them in a lot of categories, but as we all know far too well, stats mean absolutely nothing. What matters is the scoreboard at the end.
That crowd was, um... very loud.....

Last year's game we outplayed LSU but lost. As I said, stats mean nothing, but are fun to look at.

That said, I really do mean it when I say that LSU played an amazing game last night. They certainly looked like the #5 team in the nation, unlike the last few weeks. In the end some things just didn't go their way and Bama came in determined with a minute left and somehow won. I can still hardly believe it.
I was 99% closer than ever before to giving up on this game last night, with 2 minutes left. It just couldn't happen. But it did... I had just watched the last drive of the 2008 Texas/Texas Tech game. Little did I know it would come down to that. It seems defenses just choke when an offense is in that situation, throwing 10 yards for a first down and out of bounds, slowly driving down the field. I dunno.

Whatever, whoever is to blame (no one is really, people just like to throw blame around to whoever they can think of) doesn't really matter. LSU/Bama both played a game to remember last night, and damn it all if you guys don't appreciate the AMAZING job your players did. Forget the refs, coaches, etc. Those players gave everything they had, no matter what the coaches threw at them.

If Bama can win out we will represent the SEC well in the BCSNCG and blow the stuffing out of whoever they throw at us. I know LSU would've done the same and I would be right there cheering them on Jan 7th. (I was rooting for them in 07 too, and that was a great game)

So for the rest of the season, Go Tigers and Roll Tide! ;)

I won't cheer for you guys in the NC game, but you're a class act Captain, and yes it was an amazing game. I love all but about 2 minutes of it :)

This is a terrific rival post, but like Vampmuse, I won't be pulling for you guys to win 3 out of 4. I simply cannot do it. If you happen to do it, more power to you, I suppose.
