I think you're right about that. Maybe the BS from the media "experts" got in his head like it did several on this board or maybe he was trying to be the "mad hatter", but some of his calls were baffling to say the least. All he had to do was play straight up football and forget the fake field goals and trick formations. His players were winning the game for him. He should have just let them play.

No, as usual, I tried to see that both teams played hard and did do good things. Alabama did finish with more points for some reason. As usual, you are in a hurry to be offended.

Nothing easy about the passes AJ sent to Norwood. The first was between two defenders and went for a big gain. The second throw to Norwood was a timing route that AJ hadn't been able to throw into the ocean last night, but a great throw. The defender was right there. The third pass to the sideline was even more precise and half of Norwood's body was leaning out of bounds when he caught it, again great throw. The Blitz that Alabama seemed to know was coming, was coming. Barret Jones told the line coach, before going out on the drive, that the screen was working. Coach Nuss dialed it up and the rest with be football lore.

Prevent D. Of course they knew what was coming we did it all game. Two of your touchdown drives were based on the fact that for some stupid reason we go to it at the end of the half and the end of the game. I said give your coaches credit for that, but admit your team got completely and utterly dominated outside of those two minutes.

It wasn't even close. We were pumped up, and your team came in expecting to walk all over us. When it didn't happen you fell apart. Our prevent D let you guys back in. Admit that and you will gain a shitton of respect around here. I know you're happy for your team and you should be, we've won games we should have lost as well, but I'm willing to admit that we got lucky when that happens, Gumps tend not to.

The FG situation being flipped around was really the only parallel to last year's Tuscaloosa game. I guess we "unwon" last night.

Tusk, enough already. Again, you fail miserably with a feeble attempt to compliment LSU, then end your post with the typical insufferable Bama gloating. Most of the reasonable and logical LSU fans here on this board, while we are for the most part happy with the way our team played, are most certainly not happy with the end result, which needless to say, ranks right up there as a heartbreaking loss. If you need to continue gloating, take it to tidefans.

It was difficult for Les to know how well Mett would play throughout the game and I'm sure was trying hard to collect some points while the collecting was good. Last year in T-Town I felt that coach Saban should have punted the ball on a couple of our long field goal tries and keep making the Tigers go the long way. Between that and your punter kicking the cover off the ball, the field position hurt us a lot in that one.

Tusk, can you at least honestly admit that we shocked the hell out of you and the rest of the Tide fans last night?

You had no idea we were going to punch you guys in the mouth.

I'm TUSK, nor your therapist. It's not a backhanded compliment to discuss the game, which I'm trying to do. I've said you outplayed Bama through 4 quarters a number of times and ways. Bama scored 21 points, ironically and LSU scored 17. There are reasons for that. The greatest irony for me is , that it was Alabama who ultimately had the bent but don't break defense. Did I mention your team out played Bama last night?

No and neither did TigerLand. And I don't understand the expression you use, "at least." And Yes, it was most uncomfortable where I was sitting, all evening. If this Mett showed in Gatorville, this game would have gotten even bigger in a hurry. I remember Bama took a hard look at Jeremy Hill as I recall. Not sure if it was the baggage or if he wanted to stay home, but that is a good running back.

I think that's all any of us want to hear today. Everyone is stinging over the outcome. To be "this close" to victory and fart it away is gut-wrenching.
