1. Yeah because if it’s not in the US it’s some seedy place. For someone in the military I would expect a little more from you. Unless the only other place you have been is taliban country. Maybe that could be it. I mean Fuck all of our doctors are from other countries anyway.
  2. Dont confuse the intelligence of people from other countries with the conditions. They are not the same.

I was listening to a Ted talk the other day and this guy dropped a computer in the middle of some village in India. They had never seen one before, had no idea what it was and it was programmed to operate in English only. Within 6 months they had learned to speak English and operate the computer. Oh, it also had no keyboard or mouse. They also figured out how to navigate and type using the embedded commands.

This was in a village that probably didn't have running water.

Point is, just because they are smart doesnt mean I want to be operated on there.

  3. All of the things I have read, we aren’t talking about triple bypass surgery. Most of the stuff has been about dental work. Which by the way hasnt changed much in the last 50 years.
  4. Dont know about you but I dont want Haji sticking rusty pliers to my grill.

  5. I think Shane is referring to the non-sterile aspects of surgery in these places, not their abilities.

  7. 32T is roughly 91.5 K each for 350M people. I think like every other government program their math is shit,,,final bill would be 10X that number for sure.
  8. Of course, in a Medicare for all environment there would be no premiums paid by employers or individuals to insurance companies.

I doubt it would be a wash, but not quite as big a disaster.
