Socialist you could make a case for and I would agree. But you can't make Obama responsible for his fathers politics, he was a Kenyan for Heaven's sake. Just like the people Obama knows that you dislike, you are using guilt by association to discredit Obama in the lack of any real evidence of Obama practicing or advocating Marxism.

I'm kind of pulling your chain here but I'm also pimping for more accuracy. I have no issue if you call Obama (or anyone) a Chicago liberal or a tax and spend democrat, or a populist, etc.. You can make an case for all of that.

It's those who try to paint him as a Marxist or lunatic or a murderer without real proof that I tend to challenge.

Okay amigo, of course he isn't going to just jump up and say "Hey America, I fooled you I'm really a marxist" You have to read between the lines and figure it out for yourself. Even though you are on the wrong side of the political fence (you're a liberal and you know it) you just cannot wisk away everything he has been influenced by his entire life and tell me it hasn't taken root somewhere in his phiolosophy. Most of us were raised on LSU Football and look at us now! Some of us want to fire people after a few games of a season. I don't have the link in front of me but you must take into account what he means when he says "we are going to FUNDAMENTALLY change America" Look at the people he has surrounding him and what they believe in. Just what are his fundamentals? What does he believe? I don't know, maybe you can explain it all away by saying "oh he used to be that way but he was disillusioned" that is bullsh!t and you know it, you are smarter than that. I'm not sure of your opinion of USA Today but there was a poll I voted on this morning and 57% had him at F- and only 23% as A. Hopefully they won't be able to push any more crap through prior to November but if so then eventually there will be a point where you come to the light. It is inevitable, his true colors will show. Difference is I already see them.

Dude I'm so sorry to hear that. :hihi:

My dad was a life long democrat because he was taught that the republicans were only for the rich. Well I'm closer to the poor house than the big house (and I don't mean jail although I'm keeping an eye on the statute of limitations). Point is, after I explained it to him he sees the light. The man absolutely hates taxes, he hates them to the point that he may or may not pay them. A simpletons explanation but with education comes knowledge. He now has some.

and I don't know what crowton is besides a crappy play caller

Most of us are. The working middle class has far more in common with the working poor than with the very wealthy.

Its difficult to understand how the Republicans have convinced so much of the middle class that policies geared to benefit the richest are good for them . . . somehow.

Not really, big government = bad, big government = more/higher taxes,
big government = less control over things you should be in control of. When you cut through all the minutiae it isn't hard to see that liberals are trying to create a permanent subclass of the working poor. They dangle that carrot just far enough in front of your noses to keep themselves in office.

So let's screw the rich? They are the ones driving the economy. The rich own businesses and corporations. They provide employment for the rest of us. They are an important, necessary component of the engine that makes the rest of us go. They deserve certain breaks to encourage their continued investment into the economy and into our well being. I suggest you work on becoming one of them rather than being jealous and wishing them ill.

to a certain extent yes i agree with you. But their greed has run rampant. Not all businesses out there are these great places that treat their employees fair, and give them fair wages, and provide healthcare coverage. In fact alot pay their employees the minimum, then cut jobs, and expect the people who are left to produce more, yet not get compensated.
