I answered the question. Who knows if there were others. My point was about the people in charge, who else matters? I repeat--if you have a point then make it. Otherwise this discussion is pointless.
 As usual you have it absolutely wrong. First of all, there is no person named Wilson-Plame, they are two people. Secondly Wilson was not lying about the Niger Yellowcake when he reported that the report that Iraq was buying uranium could not be substantiated. Indeed the whole rumor was based on a forged document that the CIA already knew about. The International Atomic Energy Commision stated that the documents were forgeries. Colin Powell and the Defense Intelligence Agency issued memos stating the rumor was unlikely. Furthermore George W. Bush has since publicly stated that mentioning the discredited yellowcake purchase in his state of the union address was a "mistake". Yellowcake Forgery No yellowcake uranium was ever found in Iraq, nor any evidence that they had tried to purchase it. Joseph Wilson did not lie about the Niger Yellowcake purchase. You made that up.
no, you answered that bush and his men were stupid and lied, et al....are we revising history? sorry to rehash old news, but didn't congress see the same intel? weren't there other elected officials here and abroad that came to the same conclusion? can't pick and choose red, no such thing as being a little bit pregnant. hindsight is 20/20 but at least assign blame fairly. that is the point.
What a joke you really are: "The panel found that Wilson's report, rather than debunking intelligence about purported uranium sales to Iraq, as he has said, bolstered the case for most intelligence analysts." "Wilson's assertions -- both about what he found in Niger and what the Bush administration did with the information -- were undermined yesterday in a bipartisan Senate intelligence committee report. " http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A39834-2004Jul9.html OK, I guess I and the bipartisan Senate intelligence committee made it up. Now go back to your corner. P.S. Bud: Joe should be named Wilson-Plame since she's the only one who has ever really held a job in the family.
your understanding of language really is embarassing. and your bias is worse than i realized. you cant even tell the difference between information that is incorrect and a lie. really exceptionally terrible language skills. if i say "i am going to the store tomorrow", what i mean is "i cannot predict with absolute accuracy what will happen tomorrow. i might have a heart attack and die in my sleep. but as of now i intend to go to the store". but because most people are not jackasses, you dont have to bother saying all that. it is understood that you cannot see the future and you can only speak to your current mindset. a statement of intent is true or false at the time it is said regardless of what happens later. so bush is telling the truth if he is sincere in his intent at the time he makes the statement, even if things change later. i should not have to explain this to an adult. lies are only lies if they are deliberate, you are really trying incredibly hard to be stupid here.
C'mon kcal, you know Bush concocted this whole wmd story. And what's really amazing is that he had everyone in the free world believing it ... the former President, democrats, leaders of other countries, the U.N., etc. He even had other countries produce their own intelligence reports saying Iraq had wmds. Hell, I bet Red bought into this great conspiracy. Truly amazing how Bush almost pulled it off. It would have worked, but Bush forgot to plant the wmds in Iraq.:hihi: Sadly, some really believe all this stuff...
Red, I love your football posts and if 55 is the year you were born we are about the same age but man, you are looking real foolish here. Even some of the most bias liberal media are now calling Wilson and Plame's actions a charade and con job. I think this is over and Libby gets an easy pardon if they dont drop the charges. Im no hard ass republican but I think this issue is settled.
Sorry, but Congress only saw the intel that the administration showed them. I fail to understand how it is that you will not hold the administration who runs this country accountable for its actions. The Executive is the leader. He is the one who instigated and carried through this war. Congress went along because they didn't wan't to divide the country at that particular post-9/11 time. But it was a blunder and we are all suffering for it. Sure Congress shares some blame. If you voted for Bush, you share some blame. But Bush is the man responsible and you should know that. Harry Truman said, "The Buck Stops Here". The apologists for the Bush administration keep trying to pass the buck to everybody but the one who is responsible and in charge. If a president starts a war and cannot accept responsility for failure, he must pay the price politically. This is what you are seeing.
