I never would have guessed that.

I guess we are in the same boat, there is no way I will last another 20 years. So where did you get your information about Pres. Bush's so called "Lies". When it comes to the war, why doesn't the opinion of 99% of the men and women who are fighting it count. If anyone was going to be critical about the subject, wouldn't it be us?

Welcome to life. Do you really think that conservatives could go to University of Colorado at Boulder and express opinions without getting beaten down?

I really didn't think this would shock an intelligent (was I wrong in assuming that) individual. You are in a conservative environment. You are a minority. Deal with it.

Typical coming from some academic homo like you! :hihi::rofl:

In all seriousness, this board has problems with assumptions and a skeptical view of sources of facts. Rex proposes that the war was based on lies in concise inflammatory ways, and then the discussion varies. Martin says the reasons people state aren't the real reasons stated by the President. GMan and Co. say that the President knows more than we do, so STFU. Some others just like whatever Bush says. And then there's the traditional non-Bush jocker (Red, Chaos, Mystikal, etc.) who want to engage in intelligent discourse about whether we should be in Iraq. But, the discussion is ultimately futile b/c it's easier to flame or smart off than it is to analyze anything. SO, that's where we're at.

I don't particularly have a problem with the absence of extended objective discourse. If I wanted to hear the best way to analyze issues, I would just ask myself, not come to a message board. Besides, neither side (of this particular issue) has exhibited an ability to discuss things objectively. This board is great for some other topics and I've learned a helluva lot.

Keep in mind, LSU isn't exactly known as a center of intellectual discourse between America's best minds. This board shouldn't surprise anybody.

Why don't you name them for us, so many?
I guess you were ok with Waco and Ruby Ridge or they don't count?

Glad to see you left and came back for the 100th time after you said you
    weren't coming back. :hihi:

Sorry I haven't been around Rex. I know you've missed me.

Where have I been? Well, I finally graduated the Basic Officer Course here at The Basic School in Quantico, VA about 2 weeks ago and I've since moved rooms and Sprint decided to take their sweet ass time transferring my service - gotta love military contracts and no competition. Anyways, I'm still stuck up here doing some civilian flight training before flight school in Pensacola. But, the hard part is over...now for the harder part of flight school! At least I have TigerForums back to keep me sane.

Welcome back Tigerfan, good luck in flight school. I miss calling in F18's for fire misions at Lejeune. Those guys would fly in like they were the Blue Angels. Of course, there is nothing like watching a couple of Cobras tear up an impact area either.

That's what I'm hoping for, Cobras. MOTO.
