driving in from memphis late Friday night. you'll recognize me, I've been wearing the same LSU hat to games since 1985, my "game day" shirt, pants and shoes gave out long ago, but the hat still lives much to the disstate of my wife :geaux:

My opinions I've been to a few Alabama games and the Tiger Band has their work cut out for them. The Million Dollar Band's sound seemed awesome to me so I do not know how you can say that...they were extremely loud and were almost perfectly in-tune. Those are just my observations. It should be a great halftime with two outstanding Sudler winning bands. All fans (LSU and bama included) should stick around instead of going to the concessions. :geaux:
You havn't seen us before, if you go and look back at threads from your tidefans site. These were threads from two years ago, just so you know, the fans from Bama made it quite clear that we were the better band, not to mention we play more than one song in the stands. I have nothing agaisnt the MDB, i just think we are in a different league than them. I guess I just get frustrated when all they do is play one song over and over again. This is the same reason I dont like the Tenn. band too much. But just to let you know we do have much respect for MDB and are anxious to see a show this time. Last time we came into town we had to see the homecoming standstill! Every band has their traditions and I am sure if i were anywhere else I would be saying the same about the GBFTL. It's a pride issue in the end, and I hope everyone stays in the stands for both bands, however i think we will get a few boos during the last number! Hope the game is great and see you next week!
I'm comin' with a busload of 20 guys. Driving back right after the game...that 6:45 kickoff is going to hurt come Sunday morning.
Go to the game GT, you will have a great time. Our MDB has a new band director so they really are not all that great right now. They do all play the same song and stay in tune. Will make no prediction on the game other than it will be a good one to watch. Have a safe trip to all those traveling to the game.
Man, I so wish I were able to make that game....Wait, what am I saying??? I wish I were able to make ALL of the games!!! I'm just delegated to making only 2 games this season (Auburn and Arkansas) Hopefully I'll be able to make a few away games next season!
