guess what we think. ok, i will tell you. we agree with you. there is only one possible opinion. some guy went crazy and its too bad, but in wars sometimes that happens. you agree? yeah. everyone does? yeah. then it is settled.
Martin summed it up pretty well.....these things unfortunately happen during war. Guy was on his fourth tour of duty.....certainly not justifying him slaughtering 16 innocent people but it does happen. this will make our mission there virtually impossible and will likely hasten our withdrawal IMHO.
Put a man in Hell and he will act accordingly. This kind of **** doesn't happen when you aren't fighting unnecessary wars.
it happens in all wars, whether you believe them to be necessary or not. lasalle wanted to to make your point in the origninal post but he thought it would be fun to pretend he wasnt.
Important questions should be asked: Did our leadership and policy under Obama create an atmosphere & military culture more conducive for this to happen?.... Obama had a significant troop surge in Afghan., did this create a culture where troops were pushed hard to reenlist, sign up for more tours, and where progressing mental conditions were ignored or marginalized?
I think why was this soldier there. What are any soldiers doing there. Waste of money , time, and other resources.
