I actually liked the white helmets.... Until yesterday. From my seat I could not even make out any of the tigerhead or lettering on the helmets. Looksed solid white.

As far as the rest of the uniform goes, it looked relly bad. Kinda reminded me of the Vikings' unis. Did not really feel like I was watching LSU play at all.

I hate how the jerseys they are selling only give $1 of the proceeds to charity. On the other hand, it will be interesting to see how much the actual worn jerseys bring in for auction.

Okay, good. I'm not the only one who thought the jersey looked very blue.

There were two great things about the uniforms:

1 -- Hopefully it puts a stop to some of the nonsense from the fans about wanting to change up uniforms for no reason. This includes white helmets, all white high school gear, purple pants and a myriad of other horrible ideas from some of you.

2 -- Being right about how bad those unis were before the actual game is even better in hindsight, given some of the apologists for that garbage.

With $1 per jersey, they should EASILY clear $4 in donations. The game-worn jerseys will net a lot of cash, but not as much as regular jerseys would have.

No matter what we think its really all up to the players, coaches and administration. From reading all the articles and talking to players at school seems like they liked them and the idea of something new.

"LSU's players, who usually wear gold pants, white jerseys and gold helmets in purple trim, are extremely excited about the wardrobe adjustment."

"Ooh, they look pretty sweet," LSU defensive tackle Glenn Dorsey said. "I'm hoping I'm looking a little slimmer, a little nimble. And I'm looking forward to wearing those white helmets."

"We're all excited about it," cornerback Chevis Jackson said. "We thought we'd be getting new ones last year. It's different. That's why everyone's excited about wearing them."

 You don't honestly think that, do you?

It's dollars/cents and the image of the school. I would wager that the players' opinion is just about last on the list of opinions that they value.

I didnt say it was just the players but they have more say so than us.

I don't really get why they couldn't have simply played a bit with the purple jersey and wore normal pants and helmets - that would've looked fine.

Basically, I vote for not playing with the uniforms.

Isn't it good enough to break the purple jersey myth? I'd be happy with that.

If by us you mean people without resources to buy jerseys, then yes, you're exactly right.
