Soon we will have to go back to "normal" and "abnormal".

As far as the jokes go, it usually goes over better if it's funny. Someone mentioned that in reference to Louie CK's recent SNL intro. If you are going to joke about sensitive issues, you better be funny.

I think the Republican party needs some new material towards liberals. Most of today's jokes seem to be the same overly played out comments.

I took a course called Abnormal Psychology at LSU. I wonder what they call it now. The Pyschology of Alternative Lifestyles?

Does your sibling date men or women now? I can understand if he was gay before the surgery but if she is still attracted to women I don't see the positive side of it. There are straight men who enjoy cross dressing. There was a guy who was one of the best players on our football team in high school. Some years later I dated his ex-wife and she told me the whole story of his dressing up like a woman. I would have never known or suspected.

He qualifies, without question. He liked men, women, drugs, booze. Although he never wanted special treatment nor did he want to be some kind of champion for gay causes. Still one of the most unique and talented voices in rock and roll.

What I think it's about to become is a freak show for all the wrong reasons. They will get a ton of ratings and viewers but not necessarily in a positive way. I have read plenty of comments the last few days from other trannies who think his public meanderings are harmful and mocking for others who go through their transition more quietly and for lack of a better term, politely. Nobody asked him to be the spokesperson and he's spent years living with the most ego-pretentious, self-centered, attention whores America ever created.

Then again, last year's winner was Michael Sam.

Courage comes in a lot of different forms, and I won't disagree that, to some extent, Sam and Jenner have shown "courage" by what they have done. I'm not sure its courage that merits an award. Its one thing to risk public ridicule by changing your sex so that you can feel good about yourself, and quite another to show strength and dignity when faced with your very mortality, ala Arthur Ashe. Sam, I think, has an even better claim to the Ashe Award than Jenner. He risked much more by coming out than did Jenner.
