How does the gay and lesbian community feel about transgenders? Mostly supportive or would rather they be an entirely different group? It's definitely confusing to most people. With gay and lesbian, we learn at a young age what it's all about. I've learned more about transgenders in the past month than I ever did previously. Some of it is still confusing but perhaps these discussions are needed.
Okay, so this obviously is a joke. The joke being, haha, shayne is either gay or transgendered which is funny because he is different and a sissy. To be clear, this is a joke I make all of the time and have my whole life. You're gay, that's gay etc. However, does the LGBT community find this joke offensive? how is it different than a racist joke of sorts? I'm just asking for discussion. I don't have any malice towards MM's comment as much as I find it as perhaps a paradox especially coming from someone who is part of a group/race that has been discriminated against since our country was founded. Or is it totally different?
its a joke, as I think Shane and I have that kind of relationship and sheesh, you are pretty wound up today.
Politically, they all hang together. They basically use the acronym LGBTQ now for anybody that is not heterosexual. They started out as Lesbians and Gays, but they have added Bisexuals and Transexuals and many have added Q for Queer or those Questioning their gender.
The investigation is on-going. However, he was not texting. He was smoking and traveling too fast for conditions. The grown step-children (both over 55) of the woman killed have sued him but he has moved to have the case dismissed saying they have no standing to sue. Personally, I think the suit should be dismissed but he's an idiot because he was photographed driving and texting just a few weeks after the accident. The driver who died was unlicensed which could play in whatever punishment he gets but I suspect that he won't serve any time in jail. Community service, and/or a fine will likely be what happens. The whole family are idiots who don't appreciate the dangers of driving. The same month as this accident ^, KK was in a weather-related accident in Montana and wasn't wearing a seat belt. Her toddler was in the car. Just....stupid. One of the younger sisters had a speeding ticket and an accident when she was 16 and driving a $125k car.
Yeah, so obviously I understand that. I'm not wound up at all. Just thinking out loud about the issue.
Lesbians and gays were probably just starting to feel accepted and now most of the country is bashing part of their group. Some of it in that pre-teen way like the reference to Shane.
