It all seems strange. I can understand people who identified with the other gender from birth. They were always sissies or tomboys as kids and later became homosexuals as adults and finally started cross-dressing and possibly gender transformation to make their lives complete. Weird, but I can understand Chaz Bono somewhat.

But Jenner was never a sissy, he was a top athlete. He was married three times and has 2 children by each wife. He was married to Kris Kardashian for heavens sake. He says he has never been attracted to men. And he hasn't had a gender change, only some cosmetic surgery. I just don't get it.

Maybe he is just being kinky. He wants to be a lesbian?

Come on....that is really painting with a broad brush. I have never seen any statistics that support your theory. Here are two more examples that are very much like Bruce.

The marriages and children are not unheard of. Lots of people who are gender confused don't address it until they already have the appearances of a "normal" family. And frankly, Kris seems to be the sickest one because she married him KNOWING that he felt this way. She figured she could change him or talk him out of it. Who would she have to say no to, in order to marry a man who thinks he's really a woman?

But he has felt more female than male since he was a small child.

It's more than that. He's been on female hormones for a year and a half. I have read that people contemplating the ball whacking have to live as a woman for a full year before the actual surgery. Apparently bruce is headed in that direction. Frankly I don't understand it all either. There seem to be folks who live in a very grey area regarding their gender and sexuality. I'm not sure one defines the other for them.

From what I read, its called Gender Dysphoria. Has nothing to do with being gay.

Basically, gay is a physical and sexual attraction.

Gender Dysphoria only deals with how you view yourself.

I could understand if he was gay and attracted to men but he says he is still attracted to women. So if he goes through with the ball whacking he will no longer have the manly tools to have the same kind of sex with women that he has had for his whole like. What does he expect to get out of it?

I have no clue. That's why it makes little sense to try and define things in black and white that are clearly grey. I mean at some point, even if he goes through with the reassignment, has tits but no balls, has sex with men or women, his DNA will still say he is a man.

What theory? I said that I better understand those who rejected their gender for their whole lives and seek transformation more so than I understand those who reject it in their 60's after decades of "normal" existence.

But waited 60 years to reject it and is still not gay. I find it odd.

Yea, I acknowledge theory was a poor choice of words, I was in a hurry. I was reacting more to this, "They were always sissies or tomboys as kids and later became homosexuals as adults and finally started cross-dressing and possibly gender transformation to make their lives complete" I just think it's far more complicated than that and it doesn't necessarily translate to the group as a whole IMO. I don't personally know any cross-dressers or trannies so I'm just going off what I have read.

It's more the norm as it's obviously still somewhat taboo to announce that one is either gay, cross-dressing, bi-, tri, tranny. It's becoming more pronounced these days but far from easy and still, very few people are willing to embrace the concept at an early age. Hell, I'm not sure they understand it.
