The offense has got to produce some sustained drives and keep the time of possession on equal terms.

Too many 3 and outs and you're asking too much from the defense.

Miles is ony 2-3 against Florida so not much to brag about there. He is 3-2 vs Arkansas, if we can beat them anytime we feel like it, I wish we felt like it a little more often.

TT, you probably don't remember, but we used to talk fairly often. Maybe I'm missing it, but I don't see a lot of people calling for Miles' head...more comments on things they'd like to see different....at QB, in the play calling, etc.

I feel that, yes we are 4-0 but we haven't been truly tested by a legitimate ranked team.....I mean, WV at 25 is probably not deserving. We can only go by what we've seen to date and without improvement on offense we will find it incredibly difficult to beat the ranked teams left on the schedule.

The past couple of weeks we've seen a lot of talk about how this game would be an indicator of the rest of the season, yes we won, but there's plenty to be concerned about offensively. We haven't thrown a TD in three games, that worries me.

gotta disagree with you on this one.

i haven't seen a single person that is NOT frustrated as hell with this offense (or lack there of).

just not everyone is in agreement with who to blame for the offense sucking balls.

What's amazing is every analyst in the country sees it. People like to say that they trust the judgement of a man who makes nearly 4 million dollars a year over the judgement of the fans. Fair enough. But every game I watch, the announcers echo what the fans are saying about the problems with our team. I don't think that's just a coincidence.

Well, it's okay for them to be frustrated, but not us.

Everybody is frustrated. Some of us are more mature in the way we handle it.

So no I DONT think LSU can beat the upcoming SEC powers with this offense.
I am also one who wants to see what Jarrett Lee can do, I also realize all the people booing him just last year.

I saw on a message board (tigerdroppings) which I dont post on
"Les Miles has made LSU the worst team in college football"

Are you f'ing serious. This team has one of the best defenses in the nation. Les Miles has assembled some of the best talent in football.
Everyone complains "We dont capatilze on our talent" really that D is pretty talented, special teams, running game is coming around. We have a QB who annot get the ball to our WRs. We have a problem at ONE position (Maybe 2 if you count the drops by said Talent)

Yes I hate our play calling, I hate the option.

I look around college football every weekend, I see Ole Miss, I see UT losing to a spare UCLA team, OU barely beating teams, Nebraska struggling against South Dakota State or whatever. My neigbor is a huge OU guy, he has been bitching about their QB all season, he has never ONCE said "Lets fire Stoops" and I hate to tell you Miles has a better record in bowl games than Stoops does. He complains about OU, all the time. But he remembers the John Blake days

So yes I do think Jefferson is pretty bad, really bad. but I also see the tremendous amount of talent, I look around at other programs and say "Gee yeh it would be nice to be putting up 400 yards a game"

I just think all this "Fire Les Now" is thowing the baby out with the bathwater.
I dont want to become Miami or those other programs who ran off their coach for 9-10 wins a year.
Most importantly to me, we are not UF or Tennessee with all the arrests and off the field problems.
So we have a terrible QB. O.K. it is what it is. But to burn down rome over one player who just isnt cutting it.
    Doesnt make sense.

And also stop bashing all us "Pumpers" as confused and "we dont get it" or "we are stupid"
No we get it, we yell that TV like everyone else, we also want our offense to get better.
No we are FRUSTRATED TO. I am not saying that. I am just asking how can SOME call for Miles head in the same sentence rave about our defense, recruiting, kicking game, team speed etc. UHHHH. he is the head coach responsible for the entire team. Yes I to DONT understand the offensive plan at this point, I hate it to...

Studies say people suffer the sting of a loss much worse than the joys of a win.
Man we win and people are still wanting to throw out the baby...

I dont expect to win the SEC this year, reason our QB is one of the worst in college football.
I want to see Lee, I do. But booing, saying Fire Miles, leaving the game early.
Isnt helping, we are just compounding the problem. I am also weary of the "we got to get better, poise poise poise" speeches. But I also realize we have won 4 games, we havent had a melt down like SO many teams are having this year again (yet) like Texas. UCLA really they are HORRIBLE and got hammered at home. We are 4-0 and ranked 10th.
Sure maybe a little shallow, but celebrate the awesomeness of this team, debate the weakness, hope something happens at QB, realize we WILL lose, and when we do realize half the teams in the nation do every Saturday.

Announcers are paid to keep talking. If it rankles you that they talk chit, my advice would be to not worry about it. Few do the research they need to for good reporting, most regurgitate what they hear ad nauseum.
