So is the demise of Tiger Stadium due to fans not staying premature?

I don't care if it's Joe Bloe CC... I only get down to BR maybe two times a year so i'm not leaving early no matter what the reason is. TS is the best environment there is on the planet, the experience should be a priviledge not a right, and i'm thankful each time I am able to be there.

LSU is on the hook for over $7 million per year just for the salaries of Miles, Cameron and Chavis. I don't know how much the other assistant coaches make but I'm pretty sure they are well compensated. That, my friends, is the cost of putting an SEC and National Championship contender on the field. If they were to go back to hiring lowball coaches and sucking again for 5 years anybody could afford a ticket because people would give them away for nothing. The "real crowds" you refer to would not number 92,000 or the 100,000 that Tiger Stadium is being expanded to hold. We would be Kentucky without the great basketball to look forward to.

Technology is another reason for people leaving games early. Why sit in the Stadium for the second half of a blowout against UAB or Kent State when you can go back to your tailgate and watch on a high def TV while eating great food and drinking beverages that are prohibited inside the stadium. Or watch at home or in a sports bar.

Its too bad that the working class hard core fans have been priced out of season tickets but you get what you pay for. I personally would rather watch LSU beating Alabama, Auburn, Florida with coaches like Les Miles from the comfort of my recliner than be in the stadium watching the Tigers lose to the likes of Southern Mississippi and Vanderbilt with coaches like Curley Hallman. I love the atmosphere of a big time game like the Bama game last year but its just not the same for a rent-a-win.

Current Face value is affordable. It's the assholes that jack the prices up hundreds of dollars who can eat a dick.

Good idea in theory, but logistically impossible to make 92,000+ swipe to leave.

Nothing wrong with living in the state of Alabama. I did it for about 16 years and have some great memories from living there.
