Okay, in a nutshell... If USC defeats UCLA, we want... *) Florida to defeat Arkansas which should put us in the Rose or Orange; or *) Arkansas to defeat Florida badly so the Orange won't consider Florida Right? Unless the Rose Bowl (aka ABC bowl) selects Notre Dame or the Orange selects Florida, we should be in a BCS game. No offense Wisconsin, but I really don't want to return to the Capital One Bowl yet.
It just doesn't smell right for Michigan to face a lower BCS ranked ND team that got beaten up by ranked teams at both ends of their season. What kind of a dud rematch is that? :dis: Not very good for viewer ratings despite the prestige of the Rose Bowl, with the exception of ND fans. I think if ND had a very close game with the Trojans, then I would concede that could tip the balance. There is no question in my mind that the Rose Bowl selection committe knows which match up is more exciting, and I do believe they are interested in LSU. I am cautiously optimistic about LSU's chances even if Florida loses.
That's the first thing I thought of when I saw the new BCS standings come out and it had us 5th! If Florida wins the SECCG, we're definately in the BCS. If Florida loses, we move up to 4th and reguardless on if Florida remains in a qualifying position in the BCS rankings, ALL HELL would break lose on the BCS if they left out the 4th-ranked team in their own system.
Ill be at the game no matter where it is! Already have 'BCS' tickets if LSU goes to Orange or Rose. :geauxtige:geauxtige :geauxtige:geauxtige
That's just it. The BCS doesn't choose who gets picked. The Bowls do. The BCS needs to just say the top 10 teams in the BCS are eligible, and do away with the stupid Boise State and Notre Dame rules. If you win your conference but you suck and are #16 in the BCS, too damn bad. You're out. It doesn't take a rocket scientist people.
Where the hell have you been!!! Everybody has gotten me too confused...more then the girl can handle!!!
I think that would be a HUGE mistake. More importantly, it would punish the SEC more than any other conference. Winning your this conference is a huge deal. Let's say LSU schedules one really tough out of conference game and we lose it. To go along with that, we also lose 2 SEC games (really good, close games that could have gone either way). That would put us at 9-3 with 2 conference loses...but likely outside the top 10. We would certainly have a shot at going to the SEC championship. If we were to win it, under your rules we wouldn't go to a BCS bowl. Imagine how pissed this board would be in that situation.
