At least Wisconsin is out there waiting in the Capital One Bowl. It's not quite the Rose Bowl, but a New Year's Day game against a one loss, top 10 team isn't a bad consolation.
as long as rose doesn't take FL first. the SEC can only have 2 teams in BCS games, therefor Ark gets the auto bid and then FL gets rose. Then no more SEC teams can play. also head to head victorys dont mean squat to bowls. bowls are about $ and $ only. i would think if FL loses and we jump them to #4 the rose bowl would LOVEEEEEEE a #3 vs #4 matchup. in the saban era this would already be a done deal.
What if Florida get destroyed by Arkansas? Will we still get an at-large. We would jump Florida if that happened, right?
Right...that's what I was thinking. If Florida wins, Florida would go to the Sugar and leave 1 more spot for the SEC. I think LSU would go to the Rose. If Florida loses, and LSU jumps them, why would the Rose pick a lower ranked Florida over a #4 LSU? I just don't see how Notre Dame could even be in this discussion being at #10. This is just ridiculous.
i was looking at it like the rose would be taking mich-ND and the orange would take fla over us to sell tix (not that we won't trravel well but it's a home state game for them). especially since i can't see the winner of wake-GT bringing a big crowd (or being a big tv draw), the orange is going to want butts in seats. a bcs bid for urban would do that. man, i hope this works out. it doesn't matter, we'll drum Mich, GT, Wake, USC, or Wisconsin or whoever. bring 'em on.
ND sucks ass. they got DESTROYED by michigan earlier in the season. like they had no chance. and their final game of the season was to be destroyed by USC. i dont think anybody anywhere has any desire to see ND get throttled a 2nd time by a team thats already done it.
Aren't the top 4 in the BCS automatic bids? If so, then if Florida loses we are in bc we would be #4. If UF wins we are still 5 and I like our chances.
i know they suck, you know they suck. but the BCS loves them and will jump at the chance to take them.
