LSU beat Bama @ Bama... and were a 5.5 point underdog. We also held their so called best team out of their own end zone the entire game.
To be honest I only joined to share the pic.. No debates to be had.. unless it is how soon the NCAA should deliver the Championship trophy after the SEC championship game.
This topic will probably be played a lot, especially if they get the nod. If you believe the two best teams, period, should play in the game, then they probably deserve the rematch. Normally, a non-conference winning team shouldn't be considered one of the two best teams, but who else out there can legitimately claim to be better than Bama other than us? My guess is no one can. That said, I agree that they don't deserve the rematch. It doesn't feel right. PSU is right about conference champions. It's as close to a playoff system that we currently have. Additionally, if it is an all SEC match-up in the BCSNCG, a lot of people around the country aren't going to be happy about it. Should we care? Probably not, but these are the likely facts of the situation.
I THINK if LSU wins the SEC ( as they should ) if Bama beats Auburn ( as expected ) and IF Okie State beats Oklahoma Then Okie State should pass an idle Bama in the polls. Your thoughts?
Good chance. OSU will already move to at least #3 in the BCS now. They have the computer edge over Bama. If they beat OU, they solidify that and the question then becomes can they win over enough human voters to pull ahead of Bama. I think a fair amount of people think they can. They would need something like 1/4 of the humans to move to them, IIRC.
