So does Perrilloux ask for a transfer knowing he won't play for at least 3 years?

Major college football is not like it used to be. Each year the players must compete for their spot. Walk ons have been known to un seat scholarships, rare but it happens. Not saying JR won't keep his spot, but any half a$$ decent coach will tell you he will play his best talent at starter. right now that is JR and probably will be BUT RP doesn't know that. AND if he is good enough, he could take it in the spring. It doesn't happen often but it can happen.

Perrllloux is just an injury away from the field. It happens a lot in a tough league like the SEC. He had better be ready if he gets thrown in.

Thanks for the reminder on why I don't like the other boards.

    And no, I don't think he'll transfer.

If JR plays the rest of the season like he did at ASU, then he wont be here next year... if he is, and has a similar season, he wont be here the next... RP should play by his rsSoph year...

sorry bronco, russell is here to stay.....

JR is on a mission and will lead us to to at least 2 sec champ's in the next 3 years.........

If RP keeps his head up (like Russell always has) he'll get his turn soon enough.....

Like Red55 said...... RP is only 1 or 2 injuries away from taking live snaps on sat night. I have faith he'll be ready when called upon.

Do you think AMP Hill would have played the other night with Bowe and Davis injured? With teams like Tennessee and Florida, that have a habit of hitting late and out of bounds coming up, what are the odds of our quarterback missing some plays? Remember Rohan in the SECC Game?
Who knows once Perrllioux gets into a game he may prove to be the better quarterback. Regardless, I expect he will see playing time in the next two years.

I'll bet this game would've been a coming out party for Amp Hill. He must be kicking himself for leaving. Oh well!

I also think that there is no way Russell will leave after this year. I can't see an NFL team taking a gamble on a QB with only one year of starting under his belt. I think next season would be a better bet for being Russell's last year.

JR isnt Matt Lienart.. JR actually has an arm... If JR is projected for the first round, he will take it... ML is still trying to polish his game so he can make up for his lack of arm strength... If JR has a big season this year, he will be a first rounder on spec alone..

I hope he is a Matt Leinart.....

JUST about EVERY DRAFT EXPERT said Lienart would have been the first pick in the 2005 draft.....

If you think that Matt Leinart (honestly, for as much hype as ML gets it amazes me how many times I have seen his name mis-spelled) stuck around at USC to sharpen his skills for the NFL then you haven't really read anything having to do with Matt and his decision.
