The difference is if Alabama would have finished with 1 loss, they would have won the SEC championship. If we finish with 1 loss, we still need Auburn to lose to UGA and Bama for us to got to the SECCG. So the question really is, if a 1 loss SEC champion deserves to go ahead of TCU and Boise, does a 1 loss SEC team that didn't get to play for the SEC championship deserve to go ahead of Boise and TCU.
