i wasnt supposed to show you this but i'll out him anyhow. you need all the help you can get. http://www.louisianasportsman.com/details.php?id=6243
Set two nets night before last. Had a 12 lb common snapper in one and a 2 lb youngen in the other. Tossed him back. Didn't take pic of the 12 but he's in the barn. Going to feed him until the fall since I already have some in freezer. That way, when I do freeze him it'll be better for longer from that point on. Going set tomorrow in an area that should have some 50 + lbers. Will take pics if we score.
This recent crazy weather has made me afraid to set my hoop nets and accidentally catch a loggerhead and have it drown before I check my nets. I set hoop nets for catfish and don't check them on a 24 hr. basis. I had a friend catch a big common snapper in a beaver trap last week so I know they're moving. That one drowned before he got to it.
Going to check tomorrow. Went ride by this morning just to see if nets were moving. There are for sure some red-neck turtles in two of them. Daughter had game in Alexandria so went watch her but I prefer leaving nets for 2 days before disturbing them anyway.
Ass. Don't doubt ME homie. Got a 14 lb loggerhead. And 20 something non-targeted species. Won't let me download pic. Says file too large. Will keep trying to figure how to resize on camera.
