Well look at this muther. Dude, I cooked some wild rabitt for the guys at work and a couple of the bus drivers. When they tasted ma shyt one of them turned to me and said, "You brave cooking this for some bruddas and this shyt is dam good...especially for a white boy."

Oh and only a brutha would waste backstrap on the pit. You had two ethnic choices and had you picked the other it is great(er). Southern fried. :D

I was thinking the same thing. Backstrap is about as good as it gets.

Set a net last night and had an amazing 43 in it. I could barely pick it up. The oddest thing is that one was a big snapping turtle. I guess 10-12 pounds, didn't weigh it. I usually catch either snapping turtles OR the red-necks, sliders, etc. First time I ever have both. I'm guessing he got in first but they were so hungry they went in anyway.

TC, I'll get a pic for you as soon as I get a chance.

Yup. Pics. I gotta see this.

Is this at your homeboy's camp that we swung through? The one with the pond?

No but it's only about a mile from there. This one could eat the turtle he had.

Oh and I meant pics of the big one. The others, one of my custodians took the biggest 10 and the rest are dead and in a bucket. I can snap a shot of them too, you gory bastard.

Hard to gauge the size from this pic, sorry. He's not a record-setter by any means but 10+ lbs is a good-sized snapper.

You can see he's turning right as I try to get behind him for the pic.
