Here is a little creation of my own.

Melt some butter and pour it over bread slices, then spread the peanut butter on the bread and add more melted butter. Put the slices in a toaster oven (or a regular oven, I just use the toaster oven for this) and heat until the edges of the bread are toasted. Pour pure maple syrup on the slices and eat open faced. You need to use a fork for this.

I have been laughed at by people seeing me put peanut butter in the oven but they stopped laughing when they tasted it.

I tried that stuff one time. Its so dry you can't spread it without tearing the bread to shreds and its too dry to eat.

The trick is to put it on the bread & heat it up in the microwave. It really spreads a lot better slightly warmed...and then to "wet" it put LOTS of blackberry, raspberry, or strawberry preserves (anything with a LOT of seeds) with the PB to make a KILLA PBJ, preferably on a bread with a lot of seeds in it...

    ...because, after all..

I AM a texture kinda guy.

    Jif Smooth.

Just like when I was a kid.

Just one thing; I seem to remember that at one time the pre- game meal was peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. The team was winning a few games and then had something different then lost the next game and asked Coach Saban if they could go back to the sandwiches. Any truth here.
