Unfortunately you're too right. That will be the death of us. Someone has to say enough already and act like the patriots they claim to be or were totally fucked and the next president or so will be our last.
I've been saying this issue is bigger than partisanship all along,.. other than me, I think you're the only one here that's criticized the Russian's attack on our election. I can't fucking believe I'm posting a quote from the devil himself Cheney delivers a statement on Russian meddling: It’s an ‘act of war’ https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...ections-an-act-of-war/?utm_term=.ceb5db9a9f68 Former vice president Richard B. Cheney became the latest Republican to condemn Russia's reported meddling in the presidential election, likening the “cyberattack on the United States” to an “act of war.” Cheney on Monday (3/28/17) delivered criticisms of Russian President Vladimir Putin's policies and his government's alleged orchestration of hackings to interfere with the election. Cheney, who supported Donald Trump's presidential election, was speaking at a global business summit in New Delhi. “There's not any argument at this stage that somehow the election of President Trump was not legitimate, but there's no question that there was a very serious effort made by Mr. Putin and his government, his organization to interfere in major ways with our basic, fundamental democratic process,” he said. “In some quarters, that would be considered an act of war.”
That's a lot phuckin more than he or his counterpart would say back when they knew about it while THEY were in office. Do ya really not see the hypocrisy here?
hypocrisy, our politicians?.. c'mon Seriously, we have to make safeguarding our elections a high priority. Rex pointed something out,.. electronic/computer ballots, can we trust them? When you vote how do you know if it's tallied correctly? If the machines were hacked and votes changed, would we even know it happened?
nope, vote by mail,.. paper ballots are sent to all registered voters a couple of weeks before the election. Fill em out, sign the envelope, mail or drop-off at post office or courthouse anytime before 8 PM election day. The envelope signature is compared to the one on record, the validated ballot is taken out of the envelope and added to the pile to be counted. There is no record of how you voted. Oregon vote by mail has worked with nary a hiccup for 19 years
