I'd really hate to see State hit 14 pts, especially since South Carolina shut them out in week 1 last year. Honestly, they shoudn't have gotten to 17 last year against LSU. Best scenario is a nice pass-run mix early, get up by 3 scores and work, work, work that running game the rest of the game. MSU is a nice warm-up, running-wise, as they offer good athleticism but inexperience on the DL. Like to see Les get our backs alot of work in prep. for Va Tech... I'll call it 34-9.
Just remember, somtimes dreams do come true, and I predict that your dream will be one of those. Go Dawgs! ClaraDawg
Suddenly I'm reminded how it felt to talk smack in the Hallman era... Gotta love the die-hards. I can respect that.... :thumb: That said, yall are still gonna get beat like a drum... I'm hoping to see State upset one of the other SEC teams though, I love to see that kinda thing happen. :crystal:
State wasn't supposed to beat Bama last year but they did. This is a better team than Croom started out with. They will give a good game at home on national TV. This is an SEC team. They scored 17 points on us last year against an LSU defense that had been giving up 4.5. I figure LSU 28 -- State 10
Every concern that has been listed in this thread is valid. But, there is the flip side. "LSU traditionally starts out a season flat" This was clearly not the case last year when we beat both ULL and Arizona like drums to the tunes of 42-7 was it? Miss. State is not as good as Arizona, but they may be better than ULL. "Starting a season with a road SEC game" Yes this is not an easy thing to do, but we are starting off with what looks like the worst team in the conference. I mean even Tulane has beatin this team recently. "Offense may start flat" This is why you play teams like this to start the season, to warm up for the big boys later on. I wouldn't worry too much about this game. I think Coach Miles and the players understand that they have to take every game seriously and will do just that. LSU 42 Miss State 10
Time!! 35-3. Then the cheerleaders played the second half...during which MSU was able to outscore us 14-13.:thumb:
Well, by that logic, I say it'll be a fairly high scoring game. :hihi: I think LSU will score more than 28 points, but I have a feeling State will also score more than 10. This game just needs to get here ASAP!
