1. Well, so as far as I can tell, their offense should be improved, defense and special teams suspect. I would really like to have our offense rolling because of the VT game the following week, but if State is supposed to have a decent offense, I think I'd like to see a more balanced attack. Who knows. :thumb:
  2. Virgnia Tech will only be a worry if

    1.Their D causes a turnover fest
    2.Special teams goes crazy
3.Brandon Ore goes for 200+ with a few TDs
4.Or if Glennon magically becomes good

    I'm still very worried though
  3. I don't like opening up against an SEC team on the road, even if it's MSU. Just too many unknowns in the first game. It's always filled with a lot of mistakes.

On the flip side, maybe this will get us out of the gate a little faster than in previous years. I like having two extra days to prepare for VT. Starting the season off with an SEC game followed by a big non-conference game should get the players' attention during fall camp.
  4. I don't see us scoring 50. I see our offense struggling for a few games. That's why I'm worried about the Va. Tech game.

Our Defense will be fine, just hope our offense helps them out a little.
  5. nope. when was the last time lsu lost to a clearly inferior team. 2001-Ole Miss. Perhaps you could say 2002 Florida, considering that LSU went on to win the NC.
  6. I had a bad dream, well a nightmare last night that we lost to Miss. State. I woke up in a cold sweat and was so relieved that it was only a dream. With that said, I just want a convincing win that tunes up the offense.
  7. Half-time score: 24-14. Final Score:38-14.
  8. I hope not..Since that will mean our first team defence will be sh!t...
  9. I'm not sure what to think about this game. It just needs to get here. It is the first game of the season and we are traditionally slow to start off. However, we're too talented to lose to State. It can't happen, won't happen. It's their first game too. I guess it depends on which team has the better fall camp. I just really want to see a solid game with no mental mistakes and stupid penalties. If we can go out there and not do stupid things, I think we'll be set for Va Tech. Take solace in the fact that we start off with two tougher games. That will force our team to take things seriously from day one.
  10. I wonder if Moo U fans are practicing that detailed and difficult cheer of theirs?

    "Go....State.......Go State.....Go....State"
