1. skyler is gone 2. he was a great asset to the team, but his career is football he woulda played like that for whoever suited him up. 3. players have a soft spot for their school and coach. 4. the old days of "alma mater" first are gone. 5. WHO SKYLER GREEN PULLS FOR IN THIS GAME WONT MAKE A DIFFERENCE ONE WAY OR THE OTHER. 6. We certainly appreciated his work ethic and tenure @ LSU. He got what he needed to move on in his life/career, and LSU got some fond memories and trophies for the display case. LSU is bigger than a former player's opinion. I wish the boy well and hope HE does great but his capacity and ability to help LSU have ended. ( other than maybe in a coaching capacity or influence to recruits ) He is just a FAN like the rest of us now, his opionin is no better than any other FAN. :geauxtige
Theres nothing at all wrong with Skyler,s take. Saban was "his" coach while he was here, so he has loyalty there. My God, why would this surprise anyone? Aside from that, I know who he'll be pulling for during the game, and its the guys in the purple and gold uniforms. This is like asking who do you love more, your Dad or your Mom? If I may, what JSracing posted prior says it all... "WHO SKYLER GREEN PULLS FOR IN THIS GAME WONT MAKE A DIFFERENCE ONE WAY OR THE OTHER"! :tigereye::tigereye::tigereye::tigereye::tigereye::tigereye:
Seems to me Peterman and Clayton were very supportive of Saban...but they were still true to LSU. What Sky says makes me wonder if Nick went to another school, he would have transfered to follow. We know how we feel about transfers around here, "good luck, but we don't need you"
I went to Franklinton and if my coach who was very good to me starting coaching Bogalusa, I would not cheer for him in any capacity. Some of you are going to say that this is about a career though, well I think that if CLM was his coach for 4 yrs. he would still be where he is.
