i think it is 3: 1. you misunderstood the concept of superheating in our hot coffee lawsuit discussion. however this was more a misapplication of science than bad research. 2. you listed some non-christian as an example of a christian when we discussed notable minds in history. 3. when discussing english vs metric, you poorly researched an american electronics company. i keep track so i can know the rate at which i should trust your information, and of course it is relatively reliable. i guess you are right, it is 2 mistakes.
I'm surprised that some aren't crying over the domestic spying that took place to bust up this ring. The Patriot act in full swing here. It like everything else has good and bad consequences.
None of these Rags were US citizens, Sourdough. The Patriot Act objections are about Constitutional rights of US citizens, not foreigners living here. They don't enjoy all of those rights.
By all accounts I heard one guy was a US citizen I haven't read any newspaper articles nor do I watch tv news just strictly radio.
It's an expression. Years ago, before indoor plumbing, a bath was drawn and the man of the house got to bathe first, enjoying a clean tub of water. Next was Mom, then the kids, oldest to youngest. By the time the baby got bathed, the water was so dirty, you couldn't see the bottom of the tub. Thus, the admonition "don't throw the baby out with the bathwater" has come to signify using caution rather than painting with a broad brush.
Sure thing. http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/22_believe_bush_knew_about_9_11_attacks_in_advance "Democrats in America are evenly divided on the question of whether George W. Bush knew about the 9/11 terrorist attacks in advance. Thirty-five percent (35%) of Democrats believe he did know, 39% say he did not know, and 26% are not sure."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sarcasm In your earlier post, you said 35% of Democrats say Bush PLANNED 9-11. This poll says 35 % of Democrats think Bush KNEW IN ADVANCE that terrorist attacks were to come. This idea is formulated by the leaked White House Daily briefings that outlined the potential threat. http://www.cnn.com/2004/ALLPOLITICS/04/10/bush.briefing/ "Highlights of the report include: • An intelligence report received in May 2001 indicating that al Qaeda was trying to send operatives to the United States through Canada to carry out an attack using explosives. That information had been passed on to intelligence and law enforcement agencies. • An allegation that al Qaeda had been considering ways to hijack American planes to win the release of operatives who had been arrested in 1998 and 1999. • An allegation that bin Laden was set on striking the United States as early as 1997 and through early 2001. • Intelligence suggesting that suspected al Qaeda operatives were traveling to and from the United States, were U.S. citizens, and may have had a support network in the country. • A report that at least 70 FBI investigations were under way in 2001 regarding possible al Qaeda cells/terrorist-related operations in the United States."
al qaeda, bin laden, at no time are these guys not contemplating a plane hijack or mass killing. do you agree? ok then, well since you have this prior information, maybe you should stop them.
So basically they knew that Bin Laden and Al Qaeda wanted to kill lots of Americans. I think after the first WTC bombing we figured that out. What does that have to do with Bush knowing specifically about the 9/11 plot? Absolutely nothing. The lessons that leftie socialist types should take away from 9/11 is not that Bush is an evil mastermind. It is that the govt. does nothing well, and giving it more power via socialism is suicide.
