I tend to agree. Bama has come a long way since the probation years, as evidenced by the 10-win season in 2005. A couple of good recruiting classes and a better coach should make Bama competitive in the West Division very soon.
You may or may not have a decent offense, but your defense is going to suck. Your front 7 has 2 huge problem. They are young and they are small. Your d backfield is no better. You replace 2 so you will have 2 in-experienced guys back there. You started 7 or 8 seniors and your d was below average. Your young guys could not beat out your seniors and your seniors played most if not all of the snaps. It is going to be a long year in TTown.
Have you noticed there's a little drama over in Hogland? They're not even gonna resemble the team they were last year when all is said and done. Besides, the way they finished the season, (0-3), they were already unraveling.
Maybe they'll be similar to last season, maybe not....but one thing is for sure: they definitely got a Heisman candidate on their squad. McFadden is nasty.
Someone gave me red for this with the comment that the "world against LSU mentality is getting old." Was I too vague with my saracasm? Or is someone that dumb? Geez...
When the dust finally settles, I believe they'll be just fine. Fans have been calling for Nutt's head for years, they're used to it.
