If I buy another pistol it will be the Shield. I sometimes feel like selling my Glock 26 and getting a Shield. I would then have my Glock 43 and a Shield to carry- not at same time.
just keep it and get the shield. i want a henry .45 lever action next. or a .44 mag or .357/.38 I can find this one for just under $700 and its the nicest rifle Ive ever seen in person. The brass on it just stands out with the blued/black barrel and walnut stock. Its the same rifle used in Silverado and apparently steve mcqueen used one in some series he was in. I think it was called Wanted. This picture clearly doesnt do it justice. Its very functional, holds 10+1 and is accurate as all get out. Comes in .22 LR as well and can be had for 400+. Certainly something you want to pass down from generation to generation. Samuel Colt gets credit for the first working revolver that made all men equal. This Henry was created right at the start of the civil war and used by like 1100 mostly union soldiers i think it was. But the majority were purchased (9,000 maybe) privately because they were so expensive but like having an automatic weapon by todays standards. It was created by Benjamin Henry Tyler and became the basis for winchester rifles that are still used today. Its probably why custer got slaughtered as they used the single-shot springfields at little big horn. alright, ill stop rambling. just trying to say this gun is really a work of art then with its history its hard to not love it. and a lever action rifle is just badass if youve ever shot one. which most everyone has. hopefully someone here has one. saw one in bass pro for 800 +tax.
Definitely a beautiful gun. Reminds me of those great westerns too. Not sure if those particular ones were the ones used but same style.
Henry is a fine gun. American made too. I'd love to have a golden boy and a big boy but damn they are high dollar I just can't afford it. I've entered a bunch of drawings to win one but come up dry. That's about the only way I'm gettin one ha.

There is no better home defense than that right there. If I got a shotgun for that though, I'd want one that holds more than 5 rounds. Don't they make some that hold 8?
