It's only 3 games into the season, there's 8 games left. Whose to say that Randall won't flourish and end up leading this team to great accomplishments? Same thing with Russell. All we can do right now is drop the Auburn subject and move on to MSU. You can't change the past, but you can learn from it.
Randall didn't look terrible after the first drive. I think you must be on that crack rock. He wasn't incredible, but he wasn't terrible. He was no more inconsistent than Russell, and his ability to scramble made some great plays, and could have probably kept some of Russell's drives alive. Go ahead and stay on the bandwagon. We have two QB's that have different strengths, but today I think Randall was probably our better shot, given that he is more mobile. He certainly didn't cost us the game, and if you think that, you must be on bad crack rock. Neither one has been amazing, and neither one should be kicked to the curb yet. And it's not time to throw away the season after game 3, just so that Russell can get experience for next year. We've still got a lot of games left.
In the drives that Randall played after the first one did he even complete a pass? Did he even attempt a pass? It is ridiculous to think that it is smart to play a QB who the staff has no confidence in throwing the ball. It would not be throwing away the season by starting Russell. We would win just as many games with JR at QB, if not more.
