That's my point. The crystal ball is the measuring stick this year, as was the case last year. So why are they giving USC credit for a NC in '03 when they know the crystal football went to LSU? I could stomache them saying,"3 straight AP national championships." That would at least be true. Its this attempt to re-write history, by obscuring it, that is teeing me off. And it ought to tee off every LSU fan.

"At least Mack Brown coached in La. at one point (Tulane)." Don't forget that he coached at LSU before that! He was pretty highly regarded around here as an OC. He could have been our head coach had the timing worked out.
I think their is a building momentum toward this point and it's not coming from LSU fans. The article on Yahoo stirred this idea up and it'll be interesting to see how people see it two years later. I think a large portion of the public is so sick of USC that they will take up the chant this time. Of course, it all goes away by the end of this week.
If you ever peruse the SC boards, you'll see a bizarre series of contradictions about the BCS system. They love it when talking about Auburn and hate it when talking about LSU.
That is right, actually for the next 10 years (I think 10) Fox has the rights to the BCS. Be prepared for the ESPN / ABC spin machine to start bashing the BCS even more over the next few years only because FOX has it now.
With all the coverage that USC has gotten over the last 2 weeks, Texas shouldn't even show up for the game....:angryfire :geauxtige
