No bench. Top 32 at best.

With only one guard coming in, it will be interesting to say the least. I will look forward to seeing what Magnum Rolle, Kentrell Grantsberry, and Ross Neltner can do coming off of the bench. We will need 30-35 minutes a game out of Tack Minor, and probably 40 out of DMitch :/ unless we can rotate 25-25-15, or even 30-30-10 with Voogd.

Well from some articles I've read on new recruit Chris Johnson it says that LSU wants him to play at both the 2 and 3. At 6'10" that could cause some real matchup problems. Garret Temple will be in the mix to get some PT at guard as well.

you obviously haven't watched the ncaa tournament. you can win with and extremely limited bench. my problem is, why don't we have a bench? hmmmm

Yeah. I think if we can get 5-6 ppg out of Temple and maybe about 7-10 solid minutes a game backing up DMitch we'll be in good shape.

Maybe redshirting him this season might have been a bad idea? Would DMitch/Hudson have played better if spelled by him at times?

This is a good basketball post:

This is a bad basketball post:

By now, everyone knows who is on which side of the Brady debate. Can we let that go until November, at least? It's getting very tiring. :dis:

I'd say a bad basketball post is where one judges another's post for no reason. I'm sorry you think it's a bad basketball post, that will probably take me a while to get over...oh wait, just did.

People who can't come up with legitimate explanations or arguments make post such as these.

Appathy is getting very tiring, and so are the biased opinions.

This is just where I disagree w/ you. I don't know how we had Elite 8 talent with no dominant players, two above average players, combined with a short bench. Two above average players are not enough to be "Elite 8" material. Maybe your opinion of Bass and Davis are shockingly high. I think this is where the confusion is starting on what you're saying. It seems crazy to assert that we had Elite 8 talent, despite not having even one elite player. :geauxtige

TD, you keep saying I am twisting your words and that all of us who don't agree with your assertion of the talent level don't understand. We do understand, and what I know is that there were many more teams that had more talent than LSU, starting five and reserves. If LSU's starting 5 were in the top 15 even I may agree with you, but having guards who got hot for about 5 games each over the course of the season is not enough to convince me they are elite level talented. I watched many teams this year on many an occasion and several of them had more talent than LSU both in starters and on the bench. We had 2 very good players and the rest are all average at best.

You say that having elite 8 talent doesn't mean that we have elite 8 talent, it basically means they had a chance to be an elite 8 team. Jibberish.

Johnson, who will play either shooting guard or small forward at LSU, saw extensive time in the post this season. He says he's been watching the NCAA tournament games and has been surprised by the physical play. It's motivated him to work harder on his strength and conditioning.
