more people overdose from prescription drugs in this country than any illegal drugs out there. We have over 100,000 deaths a year due to FDA approved prescription drugs.
I think they were promoting the saying "you know what i'm saying?" because it was said about 100 times.
Show me how pot caused those 100,000 deaths ( or any of them for that matter). Also, where are your facts to backup your statement?
Damn, my sarcasm has failed me again. I wasn't being serious when I said cannabis was a gateway drug. The prescription drugs death rate is very real though and quite scary. Why doesn't the FDA do it's job? Is it's job to help corporations maximize profits? Because that's how it seems of late.
Of course that is what the FDA does. Why do you think pot is still illegal? Think of all the money big pharma has to lose if marijuana becomes legal. And if big pharma actually gave a fuck about consumers and Americans they would make drugs that cure shit, not ones that just help you cope with shit. Gotta get you on the comeback, that's drug dealer 101.
Personally, I think every drug should be legal and OTC. That said, I would not be a user. I just think it's stupid to waste money on a drug war that would be eliminated with legalization as well as locking up nonviolent users.
Indeed. Making drugs illegal actually causes more violent crimes than it prevents. Thugs take advantage of the situation. Since drugs are illegal more people rob drug dealers, users, etc because they know the cops won't be involved. You're gonna have abusers whether it's legal or not. A lot more kids are smoking cannabis these days because it's easier to get than alcohol. I just don't see a bunch of parents buying drugs for their kids because it's legal.
