And some recruiting "experts" thought he was going to be the weak link of that class. How great a class is that going to be?

Another supposed "weak link" in the class was Jacob Hester. I think Saban is probably very happy to have both Chevis and Hester right now. From what I've seen, I'll take Nick's judgment over the recruiting gurus every time.

All indications are that it's going to be an OUTSTANDING recruiting class!

Yep, forgot about Hester. That dude is a smooth football player. Not sure where he is going to play though. He is small for a fullback at this time. I just watched the replay and he had some problems blocking. He didn't make big hits on the linebackers, mainly just got in their way. It was good enough but he will have problems blocking against the big boys until he puts on more weight.

Yeah hester was a fullback in high school and he blew people up ...I am sure he has lost a little weight since Evangel...but he looked good yesterday running and catching that one pass.

Then you have a problem with Travis Daniels, that's his famous move. Or at least he used to be real bad about doing that. He still does from time to time, maybe that's why he never intercepts the ball.

Are Daniel Francis and Nick Childs corners? Francis seems like he could be a big time player at corner also.

Sammy Joseph should start next year. He was a complete beast his freshmen year at Colorado.

Tigerskin...you might want to watch the replay of Hester blocking the LB's b/c he did a fantastic job. He stopped them dead in their tracks everytime I watched and even got some push on a few. I don't know what football you are used to watching but you might want to learn the game a little better.

I was pleased by the way Heste played!

He looked good to me. His blocking was fine for what I saw, but I think he will improve with some weight and more experience. With that he will be nailing the Lb's and knocking them to the turf. I think that is what TIGERSKIN meant and wants to see.

I was impressed with Chevis yesterday. His aggression is going to endear him to Saban, and if our coach is taking a special interest in him, he's going to be great.
