If the team can't make it there safely, then they should not play. But don't tell me you would be concerned for Auburn fans if the tables were turned. The hurricane is in Alabama, not LA. If they can go through a hurricane and want to play a game of football afterwards, then we can at least drive through a little water to get there.
If the electricity is on, they will play. It is that cut and dry. The rest of the talk is fluff. Say what you want about Tubby's motives, but it will take a lot for this game not to be played. And, no they don't, nor should they care that LSU fans may be inconvenienced. It will not be a "war zone." Some would probably not appreciate that comparison.
It's definitely not a war zone. There were tornadoes in the Auburn area earlier today, but nothing was hurt. Ivan has been downgraded to a tropical storm. The graphics below is about 3 hours old so the winds are even less now, but even then, the winds around Auburn were less than 39 mph. I'll be surprised if the game is postponed at this point.
It's an act of God ... I'd understand ... absolutely ... I buried a grandfather after Betsy ... he was 54 years old ... the only grandparent of 4 who didn't make 90+ ... he died during rescue efforts during the hurricane after he was struck by flying debris and fell unconscious and drowned ... I was 6 ... some things are more important than FB ... and I'm about the most rabid mofo on any LSU board ... unless you want to count Martin during one of his spelling bees ... I can't touch his total dedication there. I agree ... if the roads are open and there is little damage and people can get there fine ... but I've lived long enough and seen enough of these evil ****ers to know better ... this one is a big nasty boy
If that happens where will the LSU team stay? Tubb-O-Crap probably wants them the stay in tents. Where and what would they eat? Have a weenie roast around the campfire while they have a singalong with LSU fight songs?
Electricity has nothing to do with whether or not the roads will be clear for people to actually make it to the game.
