works without, but i prefer with. and the horseradish needs to be hot with a nice bite to it. none of that weak stuff.
penn, for shrimp i like the zatarains extra spicy shrimp boil powder. i like the way it soaks into the shrimp as it sits in the hot water, and i like the spiciness. made a bit a while ago for a salad to go with dinner.
