Nobody does, the guy is a certifiable kook and his followers are most family members.

None of this is the point. It ain't about God or fags.

The point is that it is despicably wrong to dishonor a funeral and a grieving family for any reason, but particularly to push an unrelated political issue disguised as religion. None of the real Baptist church groups recognize these lunatics.

Thanks Red. My response to Martin was much more emotional instead of reasoned and intellectual. Of course, I think an emotional response was what Martin was looking for...

i certainly agree, but i am not the one who thinks faith should be resepected and that any question where the answers are necessarily unknowable must be treated as if all theories are equally valid.

does god want these people to continue their crap? maybe he does, maybe he doesnt. right?

So what? This ain't about you.

Why do you feel the need to turn every discussion into a anti-religion diatribe? Your insecurity is showing, amigo. Everyone knows how you feel about religion. Start a new thread if you have something new to add to the usual sermon.

The topic here is respect for a soldiers funeral. You could have stopped after the first three words.

This isn't about fags and whetherbor not god hates or loves fags. Its about using the funerals of those who fought for our country to promote an agenda. For all I care, their agenda could be that mickey mouses ears are too big. Ironically those that fought for the very freedoms that allows this cult their freedom of speech. And it is about what people can do to fight back against the kind of hate that hurts the families of the fallen.

This is not motivated to stop homosexuality, or to preach "God's word". It is motivated to stop the war by bringing further pain and suffering to the family members of a fallen soldier. You are the only person that seizes on any religious aspect of it. Nobody that is religious seems to do this. Heck, there are probably several family members at the funerals that are not religious. Does it bother them less?

They recognize it for what it is. Simply an attempt to disrupt and cause pain to people that lost a loved one.

Martin, you can instigate all you like. I am not going to hijack this thread to give you more of a pulpit for your anti-religion tirades. Enjoy arguing with yourself.

This guy, his family, and Martin will be in my prayers.
