Shout out to the LSU Marching Band

I've been listening to the band today on Spotify and I'm fired up for the national championship game. I can't wait. You guys and gals are AWESOME!!!

 

GBFTL, excellence for as long as I can remember.

 

I was actually checking out vids on youtube of them this weekend. GBFTL is the best in the country. Being a former trumpet and tuba player I am partial to the brass section of course. And as a young kid sitting in the south end zone I always remember loving the sound of boogie down, especially before the band moved.

 

Love the band!!!

 

Still miss red alert from last year, but the avengers theme does the trick this year.

I was in the band from 99 to 04, trombone. I miss the pregame show the most. In the initial rectangle that matches out, I was the rear corner on the home side.

Everytime we did the pivot rearward to face them right before the step off, I had a completely unobstructed view of a sea of screaming crazies occupying my entire vertical field of vision.

Never, ever gonna forget my time there.

 

Do you ever come back and march with the alumni band? I’ve always enjoyed them.
