All I can say is it's been a few years since I've been so entertained by upcoming rivals posting smack on our boards. And it's such bad smack that it's almost like a joke. I think it's either someone with an alter or the same 15-year-old whose gotten into his mom's oxy.

Ok, now seriously.

WV, in three games, scored 31, 24, and 31 against Coastal Carolina, Marshall, and Maryland.

Now, all WV fans have to say is how bad our offense is.

This bad offense scored the SAME amount of points against better competition. (My argument is that UNC > Maryland, MSU > Marshall, and Vandy >> Coastal Carolina)

So, LSU's defense is going to be much better than anything WV has seen so far, and I can't see WV's defense being much better (if at all) than any of LSU's opponents.

Naturally, I can assume that LSU will still score somewhere in the upper 20's, while WV will not reach their average scoring margin.

Boys, I gotta tell ya, many of these posts are basically carbon copies of what was said about our match-ups versus GA, Auburn and OK a couple of seasons ago. No joke. I wish I could copy and paste because it's exactly the same kind of arrogance, game analysis and overall sentiment for those tilts. And what happened? Well, WVU went 3-1 in those games, with 2 of the 3 wins being blowouts.

So, what should we make of this big bad SEC speed? I laughed out loud when I read one clown poster proclaim that WVU would be a bottom half SEC team, just like the rest of the BE and ACC. My my. The arrogance. If you don't know how we run, then you truly don't know jack crap about our program. I would venture to say that this year's team is FASTER than the great Pat White-Steve Slaton teams that pounded SEC teams in 3 games. Yep, you read that right. We have much more defensive speed. And Devine, Sanders and Austin on O? Look out boys. I don't care how good your D is, these guys will hurt ANY defense.

Our best chance is to shut down your Offense IMO. Our D is vastly under-rated and whoever wins the battle of possession and yardage b/w your sputtering offense and our D will win this game.

No doubt LSU is 5 pts better playing at home. If it were a neutral field my guess would be this game would be a pick-em. But anything can and will happen in college ball, so I give my beloved Mounties a very good chance.

If we don't turn it over, we win. If we puke it up 5 times like we did last year at Auburn (true freshman QB blew a 10 pt lead), we get beat easily. Last year's Auburn loss hurt bad b/c we lost to an inferior team b/c of turnovers. If we lose to LSU this year, it will be b/c the Tigers are just better.

I'm very afraid of those Bayou Kitties...but I think we should probably go ahead and play the game anyway.
