    I knew you couldn't . . . :hihi:

British rock star billionaires have little in common with the average US taxpayer.

Sound like you want something for nothing. Tax cuts because we deserve it. Meanwhile we just keep borrowing from foreigners to pay the bills and waste $120 billion in interest payments every year. Spending has to be cut to responsibly cut taxes.

Yep in Clintons' last years because he reined in government spending. Bush irresponsibly cut taxes while increasing goverment dramatically in addition to his vast war debts. FDR paid for the New Deal and World War II with War Bonds, increased taxes, and rationing. Bush has paid for nothing, rationed nothing, decreased our tax income and overseen the amassing of an unprecedented national debt. Just to curry favor with shortsighted voters.

Calling for more tax cuts without identifying how we will pay for all of this is completely irresponsible.

Clinton was handed a weak situation by Bush I. The budget deficit was hitting $350 billiion a year and climbing (a record at the time). So Bush I had the integrity to do the right thing and pass a tax increase, breaking his "no new taxes" campaign pledge from '88, and in part, costing him the election since he'd lied to the nation. If it was bad enough for Bush I to raise taxes, it was pretty bad. Just how soon would you expect ANYONE to come back from that and balance the budget? Not too quick. The balanced budget produced by Clinton was the first in 40 years, quite an accomplishment in anybody's book.

Clinton handed Bush II a much better situation to start with, a balanced budget, and Bush has fumbled the ball badly. We had the $550 billion deficit in 2004, the highest in history, over 50% higher than the previous record by Bush I, and easily the largest 7 and I'll predict 8 year total deficit for an administration.

    As in George W. Bush.

And it ain't correct either. Clinton posted budget surpluses in 1998, 1999, and 2000. Dubya immediately tanked it.

Or insane, I love how so many conservatives who railed for a balanced budget for years now say deficits really don't matter, now that it's one of their own breaking the bank.

You trying to tell me that Obama is to the left of Kennedy? Is anybody to the left of Kennedy?

Perhaps you should note some examples of this.

Two words. And we are supposed to guess what you are talking about? Then you declare victory. No need for me to go any further, you see, the case is closed. OK, Scooter, I'll lay off.

I mean, how could I be so blind as to understand why Obama is left of Kennedy. "Income redistribution", I mean, Wow! It's so profound. You don't need an actual example of Obama being left of Kennedy and explain what it means to you. You can just state the name of an issue and close the case.
